Siberia has long attracted enterprising foreigners. Thus, at the end of the 19th century, the Prussian citizen Karl Krueger arrived in Tomsk, having certain funds and the intention to establish his own production here. By profession he was a brewer.

In 1876, the Tomsk City Duma decided to give Karl Kruger a leasehold for 10 years of land in the amount of 913 and a half square meters. sazhens for the construction of a brewery in the Yurt part of the city, on the back of the city hospital. In a fairly short time, he builds a plant and begins to supply beer establishments with good quality beer. Since then, 1876 is considered the date of foundation of the company. However, in 1880, the "place of land" on which Kruger's operating enterprise was located was placed at the disposal of the building committee for the construction of the university. Karl Kruger decides on new construction. Place at

the foot of Ostrozhnaya Gora was well chosen: going deeper into the mountain, it was possible to arrange excellent cellars there for storing beer and maintain a low temperature, and the nearby Moscow Highway facilitated the sale of products and the supply of raw materials. The construction of the plant was carried out at an accelerated pace, and by the autumn of 1884 the factory premises were ready. On October 27, 1884, an excise official measured the new dishes (the excise tax in those years was taken from the volume of mash-brewing vats), and legal permission was given to start the enterprise. So, October 27 (November 9, according to a new style) can be considered the birthday of the brewery in a new place - along the Moskovsky Trakt, 46, where the plant is now located.

Today, Tomsk Pivo is an advanced plant with more than 800 employees, which is a socially responsible enterprise and one of the industry leaders. The plant produces beer, kvass, carbonated drinks, bottles mineral and drinking water. The assortment includes more than 60 items.

Production is carried out on modern equipment from Germany, Sweden, Italy, Finland. Owing to its reputation as an honest manufacturer and reliable partner, OAO Tomskoe Pivo has entered sales markets far beyond the Tomsk region. The company's management system is also certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 22000 "Food Safety Management System".
